When I was younger silly just started to watch SPN and didn’t know Cas so well, I thought Castiel refused to shake Sam’s hand because Sam was a boy with a demon blood and the angel didn’t want to get dirty. But now I can see it as clear as a day - just look at him - poor dude didn’t have an idea what this human being wanted him to do. 

The first time I saw this scene, I honest-to-goodness cried.

Just look at their interaction - it’s so pure and heartfelt.
